My father is still influencing me................
My dad is aging and therefore he is sleeping more, and talking less and in some ways this also is influencing me. I want my dad to finish well, keep the true faith, and to have no regrets as his 93 years plus bring him closer to eternity.
I recount the younger years when he would ...by example choose kind words in the face of anger.
The other week when I backed out of our driveway...I looked twice; then realized that it's my dad's careful driving example, sub-conciously working within me. My dad knelt before a hard kitchen chair to pray every morning before he would go out to milk the cows...it was very early but I heard him and occasionally saw him .... and he set a high standard for me.
The power of influence dies hard....................................
and it would serve us well to lead by example.......
since we too are influencing!
